Description:

Amazon is seeking a Support Engineer II to join the Physical Stores Technical Operations team under the AWS Applied AI Solutions banner in Hyderabad. In this production-critical engineering role, you will help operate and scale the complex distributed commerce services that power Amazon's "Just Walk Out" (JWO) frictionless retail technology. Functioning in an entrepreneurial, startup-like environment, you will act as a core troubleshooter across interwoven hardware, software, and networking endpoints. Your primary focus will be isolating runtime system anomalies, mitigating operational risks, mapping out workflows during active whiteboarding sessions, defining support frameworks, and mentoring junior entry-level peers.

Requirements:

• Strong foundational command over core computer science topics including operating system layers, data structures, algorithm efficiency, and object-oriented design patterns.
• Practical proficiency navigating Unix/Linux environments, isolating database or application-layer defects, and managing basic cloud routing or network topologies.
• Comfort with diagnosing high-concurrency distributed web platforms and digging through error trails to execute rapid root cause analysis.
• Total flexibility to work a 5-day rotational schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and dedicated overnight coverage (such as 10 PM to 6 AM IST or 1 PM to 10 PM IST) matching global market timelines.
• Exceptional problem-solving mechanics, customer-obsessed communication patterns, and comfort dealing with high architectural ambiguity.
